AS Micro

This ArcSeer Add-on focuses in on the smaller details of the archaeological process. AS Micro allows archaeological data providers to host their stratigraphic datasets using a radically different approach to spatial data visualisation. Archaeology is a destructive process – single-context excavation entirely removes all discovered stratigraphic layers. AS Micro 3D viewer allows users to posthumously interrogate their stratigraphic data by seamlessly integrating both spatial and tabular data in a naturalistic and easy-to-use environment.

Abu Salabikh

Abu Salabikh is mainly a 3rd Millennium Early Dynastic site that is located in the modern state of Iraq to the SE of Baghdad. The scene provided here is of the so-called House 5G. The plan of the house was discovered using the surface-scrapping process. Detailed stratigraphic information was retrieved by sinking 12 test trenches across the house plan principally at the intersection of room spaces.
